EU For Green Agenda in Serbia: Public call for scale-up of green investment projects

With financial support from the European Union and Switzerland, as part of the project EU for the Green Agenda in Serbia, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is launching a Public Call for the scale-up of green investment projects.

This call is aimed at companies registered in Serbia that are planning innovative green investments linked to Decarbonization and green industry in accordance with the goals of the Green Agenda.

Projects need to be technically mature, green, ready for implementation and have combined financing. The expected financing structure consists of a potential grant from the EU project for the Green Agenda in Serbia, the company’s own funds, and loans from banks or other financial institutions.

The minimum total value of these investments for projects applying for co-founding is USD 200,000.

Co-financing grants can be a maximum 40% of the total project value for projects with a significant positive impact on environmental protection.

The minimum own funds expected from applicants amount to 15% of the total investment value, while the remaining part of the investment is expected to be provided by the applicant through loans (e.g. from a commercial bank or leasing company).

Investments in photovoltaic power plants are not eligible for grants, but they can constitute part of company co-financing and may be subject to bank loans.
